Perhaps best known for his work with brother Reeve Carney on Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, Zane has been referred to as “the best guitarist in NYC” by Bono of U2 and spent years as John Mayer’s lead/rhythm guitarist before joining Foster The People.
Zane’s collaborations include work with Joe Jonas, Avril Lavigne, Justin Timberlake, Thundercat, Natasha Bedingfield, John Batiste, Mark Foster of Foster The People and the GRAMMY Winning John Daversa Big Band.
As an artist, Zane has many releases including his self-reflective singer-songwriter EP Confluence, instrumental guitar album Amalgam, critically-acclaimed jazz record Alter Ego, and recent singles “I Wanna Have Faith” - produced by Tony Berg (Phoebe Bridgers) - and “Is Anybody Else Out Here?” which recently debuted on KCRW.
He has headlined shows in Japan, Australia, Korea, Mexico, Canada, Europe, and many cities across the USA including NYC, LA, Nashville, Chicago and more while also opening for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and John Mayer along the way.
